Subject: RE-4 Relay Emergency Valve Obsolescence

Effective immediately, the RE-4 relay emergency valve is obsolete. However, it can be

directly replaced with the RE-6 relay emergency valve. Details on replacing the RE-4

(piece numbers 229434 and 277446) with the RE-6 follow.

229434

To change over from RE-4 piece number 229434 to the RE-6, order pc. no. 800097,

which includes an RE-6 relay emergency valve and reservoir adapter components.

Also, two tee fittings are included in 800097 for unusual circumstances (for example,

tri-axle trailer applications) where the RE-6 may need six delivery ports. Part number

800097 is only needed in order to reservoir mount the RE-6 or for tri-axle trailer

applications.

To change over from RE-4 piece number 277446 to the RE-6, order piece number

800098. Reducer bushings and pipe plugs are included with 800098 to maintain proper

port thread sizes.

Piece numbers 800097 and 800098 include detailed change over instructions.

Make note of the following change overs on catalog pages 03-B-6 and 03-B-7
